Front Door Workgroup

“Front Door” policies control Marylanders’ entry into our criminal justice system. These include charging decisions, pretrial detention and alternatives such as diversion to mental health programs, mediation and other rehabilitative services short of incarceration. Problems result from “tough-on-crime” policies and scarce resources.

Convener: Bill Carlson and Jenny Zito

Membership is open and all are invited to participate at general meetings. To join this workgroup look for our next meeting on the MAJR calendar. Learn more about how we are organized at: https://www.ma4jr.org/our-charter/.
